Discovery Gateway

My awesome neighbor invited us to go check out the Discovery Gateway last week. Carson loved it!

There was a machine with tons of these balls first thing when you walked in. I had a hard time getting Carson to give them up!

This thing was just a tube on top of a fan but it entertained Carson the longest. There were little paper parachutes that would fly up the tube and Carson was just amazed.

This was Carson's FAVORITE! Before we left we stopped at the fountains to let the kids play. I thought Carson would be scared to death but he thought it was so fun. I thought I would never get him to leave but unfortunately a bigger kid accidentally plowed him over and Carson was ready to go home after that.

This is what Carson did most of the time.

Funny thing...

So even though I am sure that Carson knows that "dada's best" I did figure out what he was really saying. Some of you know that Brad has Mono (and no, I don't know who he has been kissing:) and that he has to sleep a lot. Well, I guess Carson picked up on it and has been saying "dada's in bed!"

Happy Father's Day!

I just want to give a shout out to all the Fathers in my life! Thank-you for blessing my life! I want to thank Brad for being the BEST Dad in the whole world. Carson has learned to say "Dada" and now he attaches something to the end of Dada that sounds like "best". So even Carson knows that "Dada best!" It's so fun to watch Brad and Carson playing and laughing (even though they gang up on me once in a while:) I couldn't ask for anything more and I want everyone to know how grateful I am to have someone like Brad in my life.
(Sorry so sappy, it has been one of those days)

Carson loves this little T-ball set, he has even learned to say "Base Ball"

For some reason Carson thinks its really funny when Brad pretends to be hurt... enjoy!

Fun with Grandpa & Grandma!

Carson got to spend some great one-on-one time with Grammy & Grandpa Bowen this week! Reid & Sue came down to their time share in Park City for the week. We stayed a couple of nights there and had a great time swimming and playing cards.

Grammy got Carson his B-day present early so he could enjoy it all summer!

Vancouver/Portland Trip!!!

So about 2 months ago my brother-in-law Scott decided that he wanted to do a huge Birthday surprise for my sister Anna's 30th B-day. He wanted to fly Carson & me out and totally surprise her! About a week before I was to leave we decided to make it a family vacation and have Brad come too. It was so much fun! The look on Anna's face when we she came to the door was PRICELESS! I so wish I would have had my camera on. She jumped & cried & laughed for about 5 minutes. Then she started putting all of Scott's "weird" behavior together. He worked so hard to make this happen. He had to make sure she would feel prepared for house guests for a week without giving anything away. He told her that people were coming to look at the apartment Monday morning (the day after Mother's day) and we showed up instead. I want to thank Scott for planning such an awesome week for his wife as well as for us!

We went to a Waterfall, I can't remember the name but it was beautiful!

Carson & Ben - Just Chillin'

This was at the fish hatchery. These are Sturgeons - one of them was as big as a shark and it freaked me out!

Anna & I took the boys to a pool - they had a big slide that I thought Carson would be scared of, but of course that is all he wanted to do the whole time.

Scott got a babysitter for the little monsters so we could enjoy an adult meal for Anna's big day.

Our day at the Zoo...

As you can tell, Carson was NOT happy this entire day, which made me sad because the Zoo was really neat. Carson was cutting a tooth and had a fever and was CRANKY!

I do have to say that I think this day tried our patience more than any we have had since becoming parents. Anna said Carson wasn't that bad but to us he was impossible! He didn't want to be in the stroller, be carried or walk so he ended up throwing himself on the ground in a tantrum most of the time. We felt bad because we knew he was just in pain. We may look happy, but trust me, I can't believe we even managed to pull off smiles in these pictures!

Just Strollin' through Vancouver...

Fortunately Carson was in much better spirits on this day. We just walked around enjoying the uncommonly sunny weather.

Anna actually got even more surprises all through the week. He sent me and her to get massages, (that was right after the zoo so I really enjoyed it!) , had a surprise BBQ with some really great friends that they have made and to top it all off my Dad, Denise and Ryan came on Thursday! She knew my dad was coming but Ryan & Denise were a total surprise. We drove to coast Thursday night and stayed at a hotel. We went to the beach and drove along the coast on Friday.

And this is how we all felt when we got home.

Thanks Case family for such a great trip!!!

TIMBER!!!

April Update

It is still pretty cold outside, especially for April, so here are some of our attempts to keep Carson entertained!

It did manage to warm up just enough to go to the park. Carson loved it, the problem is once he is outside he throws a huge tantrum when we try to bring him in.

So... I put our couches on Craig's list not thinking they would sell anytime soon. Well, we sold them in a couple of days and we were couchless for 2 weeks! I think the lawn chairs really made the room!

We went to the Aquarium again with some people from our ward. Carson loves it more every time we go.

This is Carson the day after the Aquarium, it was a nasty eye infection that lasted over a week! As you can see from the pictures, he didn't seem to mind at all! Although we did get a lot of looks when we went into public :)
