2 weeks with two!

Jace with Grammy & Papa Bowen. They made a 7 hour car trip(normally 4 but due to some car trouble it turned into 7:( ) to come see us and Carson loved it.

Just chillin on the porch. Our neighbors got an adorable little puppy and Carson loved that he could hold him!

Daddy and Jace:)

Brad & the Boys

I have managed to keep it to only a few mental breakdowns:) On this day my sister called in the middle of one and headed right down to cheer me up. Thanks Anna! Carson & Jace, Ben & Eli.

My other sis Nanci and Little Bro Ryan came down to Thanksgiving point to the animal farm.

Brad is so embarrassed that we have this HUGE sit & stand stroller. I do feel like a need a license to push it around but the kids loved it!

These past 2 weeks have gone by really fast. I want to thank everyone who has helped make this transition easier! First off to Brad - he has truly been amazing. He sees something that needs to be done and he does it. He has been so good to entertain Carson while i try to cope with my new responsibilities. My mom came and stayed for the first few days and it made everything easier - she even cleaned my toilets! Thanks to all the neighbors who have brought meals - we would have been living off of Mac -N - Cheese this whole time were it not for you. Thanks to all our family members & friends who have come to visit and help me pass the time!

On a side note - we ended our first two weeks with Carson getting the stomach Flu:( He woke up Sunday morning saying he was tired and just wanted to take a little nap. That turned into a fever and sleeping most of the day. He threw up twice and it was NOT pretty! I have heard the term Projectile vomiting but now I have the pleasure of knowing what it looks like! We took him to the Doc today and he will be fine. So far Baby Jace seems happy as can be so we will cross our fingers!

More Pics of Jace

This was the day we brought Jace home from the Hospital. Carson would not lay down until he could hold Jace.

The proud Big Bro!

Sweet Babe!

Not liking the bath so much.

I am so excited that Jace has hair so I can give him a fohawk:)

"Jacob's Ranch"

We were able to go down to Aurora this weekend to my Sister's husband's family ranch. Carson calls is Jacob's ranch and can't wait to go back! It was a much needed vacation for us and thanks to the Johnson family for hosting us. My sister did all the cooking and provided us with plenty of treats! (Swedish fish included and I did manage to finish the bag off in less than 2 days:)

I have never seen Carson or Brad have more fun! Carson & Jacob were so cute together. We didn't even have any major meltdowns!

Jed, an actual real cowboy, showing Brad how to saddle the horse.

Are my men handsome or what?

I think chaps are a great look for Brad:)

Brad & Carson, Jed & Kade, Nanci & Jacob on the trail!
(I being very large with child could not ride the horses or appear in any pictures.)

We went on a drive attempting to find some sand dunes but missed the turn and went on a very long scenic drive. The boys fell asleep and the adults actually got to have adult conversation. What a miracle.

What more can a boy ask for after a long days work? An otter pop on the porch.

Thanks Jed and Nanci for an awesome weekend!

Thomas the Train

We decided to take Carson up to Heber on Memorial Day weekend to see Thomas the train. He talked about it for 2 days before and is still talking about it but from the minute we got there to the time we left he said about 5 words. I don't know if he was just in awe or scared of all the people.

This is the "sticker" that he showed everyone he saw until it washed off.

The actual train ride - this was his expression most of the time.

His favorite thing was the balloon sword he got.

Wow - Thomas the Train in the flesh!

YOU SO BIG!

If any of you have seen Madagascar 2 you will get the joke - if not, sorry. We watched it a couple of months ago and Brad thought the whole Hippo date was hilarious. Now he always (affectionately) says "I love you cause you so big, and round, and chunky!" In the male hippos voice of course. I have always thought it was pretty funny until the other day. Brad was putting Carson's "Big Boy Bed" together and I was "helping" (telling him how I would do it:). I plopped my big, round, chunky pregnant body on the foot of the bed and SNAP! I broke the board the was supporting the mattress! Needless to say the joke hits a little to close to home now!

This was taken just seconds before the incident.

This is the finished product, we have a chest that is supporting the mattress at the foot of the bed.
