Family Weekend

We celebrated my oldest Sis's B-day a couple of weeks ago. My younger sister & her family came up from Castle Dale and all the kids had a blast. We went to Cheesecake Factory with my Dad on Friday night & had a BBQ at my Mom's on Sunday. It was a great weekend!
Happy B-Day Anna!

Just some new Carson pics

Just chillin' at the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point with his ladies.

Showing us his "nummy" burger from Five Guys Burgers & Fries!

Trying not to get wet in the tub.

How do I look?

Daddy's socks almost fit.

Thought this was funny...

Today we were having breakfast and Carson asked where daddy was. I told him he was at work and Carson asked why? I said "Daddy works hard so we can stay home and play together." He said "Yeah, and he poops in the toilet too!" So apparently all you have to do to impress our little one is poop in the pot:)

Some funny "Carsonisms"

Carson has been saying some cute things lately so I thought I would write them down.

He was shoveling series (cereal) in his mouth at an extremely fast pace, I said "Wow, slow down cowboy!" To which he responded - "I not a cowboy I a cowMAN!"

We are working on categorizing who are boys and who are girls. When I said "Mommy's a girl" he said "Mommy not a girl, mommy Janette."

Carson has been insisting lately that inanimate objects have been hitting him . For example he runs into the door and the door hit him or he hits himself in the head with his spoon and the spoon hit him. He talks very sternly to the object and says "Don't hit Carson spoon, go to time out!"

So its no secret that I enjoy watching TV. The DVR has saved my life because I can watch my favorite prime time shows during Carson's nap. (I know that is not the best use of nap time but I am pregnant and can do whatever I want!) I guess I have been spilling over a bit into Carson's awake hours. Today he looked at me and said "I no watch mommy's shows, my turn watch Carson's shows." Time to turn the TV off I guess:(

Hoogle Zoo

This was back in March - I have been slacking on the blogging lately. We went to the zoo with one of the neighborhood preschool groups, Carson loved it! (I think it might have something to do with a certain little lady;-)

Brad Injured at Work!

What does Brad do for work you may ask? Something dangerous maybe? Not so much, he has a desk job - which is why it is so ironic that he actually got injured by a desk:) He was helping a co-worker move a desk and somehow the desk broke and sliced his hand and wrist. He is still alive with no permanent damage, just a really cool scar! I have posted pictures below - I don't think they are too bad but viewer discretion is advised...

California Trip

We took a trip a couple weeks ago to Newport California to see Brad's brother Clarke and his family. Reid, Sue, Megan, Addison, Carson & I drove down while Brad flew in after work on Friday. There was no way to we were going to be able to do it is one day with the kiddos so we stayed the the night in Vegas. Megan was doing some laundry and Carson found entertainment in the Hotel Dryer!

We hung out at the resort for the first couple of days. Unfortunately it was not quite warm enough to get in the pool :(

We went to Huntington Beach and walked down the pier. The only down side was that we didn't think about a stroller and Carson wouldn't walk so someone was always carrying him!

I find it so ironic that the thing Carson liked the most was the FREE beach. He literally RAN for over an hour straight. I think if we did it all over again we would ditch the theme parks and just chill at the beach.

Oh Sea World! Carson was semi-interested in the animals. I thought he would love the shows but he would only sit still if he had something to eat! (I know, like mother like son.)

My sister-in-law Megan got all the girls tickets to go to the Ellen show. They wouldn't allow cameras in the studio so this sign in the parking garage was the only thing we could find to take a picture of! It was really fun - Megan, Cassie (my other sis in law) and I got to sit on the front row. Sue sacrificed and sat alone on the second row (only 3 seats together) so we could be up close and personal with the guest Mario Lopez (aka AC SLATER!!!). From what I hear we did make it on TV a few times but I forgot to DVR it so I didn't get to see it:(

Carson in Toon Town

Carson loved the Characters (from a distance) but we did get him to take a picture with "puto" as he says.

All the Cousins riding the car

Just some of Carson's funny faces.

This was the last ride of the trip. Believe me - we were all DONE!

It was a great trip and it was so much fun spending time with the family!
