Thanksgiving in Idaho

Thanksgiving was great this year, we got to spend 5 days in Idaho with the Bowen's and it was awesome!

Carson was Uncle Dain's little buddy the whole time.

Red Robin in Idaho - which by the way does not have the California club, crazy!!!!

I found one of Kate's barrettes and couldn't resist, sorry Jace!

No more monkeys jumping on the bed!!!!

So, Carson and Ben (his cousin) had been playing together at my mom's house for hours with no incident. No joke 5 minutes before we left we hear a scream from the guest bedroom. Ben comes running in and says something like "Carson is bleeding!" (I can't quite remember because of the panic that set it.) Brad got to him first and there was a TON of blood. Brad thought the cut went all the way through but thankfully it didn't. Apparently Carson jumped off the bed and landed on a toy car that split his lip.

Of course this had to happen on a Sunday night after hours so we had to go to the emergency room. We were so proud of Carson they didn't have to sedate him to give him the shots for numbing the area. He seriously didn't move a muscle when they shoved the needle up his mouth into his cheek.

I think he was bothered more by the numbness than anything else. He kept saying "Get this off my cheek!"

4 stitches (strings as carson called them) and he was all fixed.

And of course the $50 dollar Popsicle from the ER to make it all better:)

Ulrich St. George Trip

Last weekend we headed down to st. george with my fam. We had a great time hanging out & getting to know each other better. (Some might wish they could unlearn some things:) We stayed an awesome house that allowed us to maximize our time together. It was fun to be able to have the kids in bed and just hang out, play games, and pig out!!!!

The boys in the middle of a serious game of ping pong.

Grandpa got lots of bonding time with Jace

The first morning the boys watched all the kids while the sisters and Ryan went shopping - it was AWESOME!!! We kept finding cute earrings and my two sisters didn't have their ears pierced and were bummed about it. Throwing caution to the wind they both decided to get them pierced!

All the ladies, and yes I do have a bald spot that i didn't notice until I saw this pic!

Ryan and his "creepy guy stare"

The moment of truth...

Ta Da!!

Denise was a little more relaxed than Nanci:)

Ryan was a little TOO comfortable:)

That night we decided to head out for a night on the town! It doesn't get any better than Jumping Jacks!

Just Chillin...

Don't ask

My dad has this amazing ability to fall asleep ANYWHERE.

This was seriously one of the funnest nights I have ever had. We didn't get that many pictures because we were too busy playing! I think the adults had more fun than the kids. The best part was when they busted out the music and disco ball and Nanci started the dancing! I felt like i was in Jr. High again as we danced to some good old Jock Jam tunes with 11 & 12 year old girls.

St. George Day 2

On day two all of the guys headed out for some golfing while we watched the kids. The weather was perfect and they had a lot of fun. That night Nanci & Jed decided to set up a double elimination ping pong tournament and it was HILARIOUS! We let Carson stay up to watch his dad and grandpa face off in the championship.

I was trying to entertain myself (since surprisingly I was out in two games:) so i took some pics of Nanci and her famous "flare" face - gorgeous isn't it?

The real Nanci

Jed trying to shoot me with a rubber band, and those are Carson's toy work glasses protecting his forehead:)

Brad in "action"

The championship came down to Brad & my Dad. Brad won the first game but had to beat him twice since it was double elimination. My dad won the second game and claimed the title. Good game guys!

Relaxing after the game

We had a great time on the trip. Thanks dad for making it possible! It was so fun to just hang out as a family and the kids had a blast!

Our Baby is 4 Months Old!

I really cannot believe how fast time flies! Little Jace is 4 months old. I must say that 4 months to whenever they become mobile is my FAVORITE stage. Most of you know that I am not a huge newborn person. Don't get me wrong I love babies but they are so much more fun at this age. Lets see... Jace is SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!! (Carson was a year before this happened) I can't believe how much happier I am! I really didn't think it was that bad but now I can totally feel a difference in my mood. Jace is smiling and grunting and gnawing on his fists. He is so even tempered - he really only cries when he is hungry or tired. Carson loves to make him smile and give him hugs and kisses. I am so grateful for our healthy, happy baby! And I totally think he is a mini Brad:)

Governor's Gala 2009

Brad's work sponsored a table this year at Governor Herbert's Gala. Ya, he called Wednesday afternoon and said oh by the way you need a formal dress and someone to babysit the kids on Friday. Thanks to Mandy for helping me find the dress and to Uncle Dain for watching the kids. (I really have to give him credit, he watched both kids for 5 hours!) It was so fun to have a night on the town with my hubby! We ate food that I didn't have to cook and got get in and out of the car without getting car seats and fighting someone to put their shoes on:)

This is Brad's tux from High School, somethings are just not fair.
