Never Say Never!!!!

It has taken me almost a month to come to terms with this enough that I can post a picture. I have always said that I would never do two things: 1) Own a Minivan MAV (Mormon Assault vehicle) or 2) Chop my hair off. For some reason these 2 things scream MOM to me.(Not that my 2 kids and messy house don't:) However after having to wash spit up out of my hair and listen to my baby scream for the 45 minutes it would take to do my hair I finally did it - it is gone! The picture above is what was taken off. I warned my hairdresser that I was going to cry before she even started. She said she had never had someone cry so I guess I was her first. I held it together pretty well at her house but when I got in the car I BALLED. She did a GREAT job on the cut and did exactly what I thought I wanted but I was not quite ready for the change. It didn't help that Brad really does not like short hair and asked me not to do it in the first place. He tried to be a good sport and mustered up a "Looks Good" but could barely look at me! I am starting to like it at this point but still cry every once in a while. Now, many of you will see the pic and think "that is not even very short" but to me I feel bald!

Now, does anyone know of a good deal on a minivan?????

Island Park Trip

I told Carson it was going to be cold in Island Park so he made sure he had his hat. What else do you need?

It's a miracle....

I know most of you are confused looking at this picture because you have never known me to bake, but this is real - I made this Italian bread loaf from scratch!!! I mean from scratch - i mixed the flour, salt, yeast, sugar, etc. I have never even attempted such a laborious activity in the kitchen - to me baking bread was pulling out the rodes roles from the freezer and letting them raise. So what changed my mind you might ask? My friend Marcie had me come to a bread making class that was awesome! It only takes an hour from start to finish and it is easy or I couldn't do it:)

St. George Trip

This labor day we headed down to St. George with our friends Josh & Marcie. We had a blast! This is at a place called Pirates something or other. We couldn't believe that there was an hour wait to have pizza!! The kids liked it and we did get to have a real pirate serve us lunch:)

We went to the Visitors Center at the Temple and it was really neat.

A big thanks to Josh & Marcie and Marcie's Dad! We were able to stay at his home and hang out together. The neighborhood had a great pool and park area. We can't wait to go again!

Happy Birthday Boys!

We had a great Birthday week for the boys. Brad turned 29 on the 23rd & Carson turned 3 on the 27th. Brad's parents were in Park City for the week so we headed up there to celebrate. Scott, Cassie & Kate also came for the weekend and we had a blast!

Kate got Carson all of this swim gear & he loved it!

The ladies (and Jace) hanging pool side while the boys swam.

Carson loved the guns he got, maybe a little too much:)

Carson is ready to go fix something!

Birthday party number 2 was at my mom's house yesterday. Carson had a ton of fun with all his cousins!

Daddy & Jace

The fam - no carson - we couldn't get him to stop playing long enough to get a picture.

Balloons, parachute, & a tramp... what more could a kid ask for?

Kade, Ryan, Eli & Grandma Kris. We were also celebrating because Ryan was ordained an Elder. It was a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday to my boys!!!

Family in Town

At the first of the month we got to spend time with family that lives far away. Clarke & Megan were here for her sister's wedding so we got to hang out!
